John P. McKinney is a Republican member of the Connecticut Senate, representing the 28th district since 1999 and has served as its Minority Leader since June 2007.[1]
McKinney considered running for Congress in 2010 in Connecticut's 4th congressional district against incumbent Democratic Congressman Jim Himes.
McKinney is the son of Stewart B. McKinney,[1] a former Congressman for the Fourth Congressional District in Connecticut.
